Criteria

ONLY WOMEN WHO HAVE NO SUPPORTING PARTNER, AND/OR THEIR CHILDREN, ARE ELIGIBLE.

THE QUEEN’S FUND PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO SINGLE, VICTORIAN WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN WHO ARE IN CRISIS, DISTRESS, OR EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.

The application must be assessed and referred by social workers or similarly qualified professional staff from appropriately accredited organisations. Residency in Victoria for a period of 12 months or more is required.

If the application is approved, payment by EFT/BPAY is preferred and will be made directly to the nominated payee and a letter of confirmation of payment will be emailed to the referring agency. You can check the status of your application on the application portal. Please do not email enquiries asking if your application has been successful.

NOTE: For security and privacy reasons please do not send applications or documents via email.

Each application to The Queen’s Fund will be assessed to ensure it fits within our guidelines.

As we receive many applications each year, we focus our limited resources on where they can have the greatest impact in line with our charitable purpose. With that in mind, we do not fund:

women assisted by TQF in the past 12 months;
fines;
legal fees;
where funding and support can be obtained from government sources (e.g. child care subsidies) or other charities (e.g. Victorian State Schools' Relief);
credit card debts, personal loans or reduction of large debts;
hire purchase, unless due to an emergency or unexpected event;
funeral costs; or
incomplete applications.
