While the national Accru Group was established in 1984, the Melbourne firm’s history stretches back more than 150 years, reflecting a long legacy of trusted professional advice and community contribution.

GIVING TO GAIN: INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2026 This shared commitment was powerfully reflected at Accru Melbourne’s International Women’s Day event in March 2026. Held under the theme “Give to Gain” the event brought together clients, colleagues and community members to engage in an important and courageous conversation about family violence. The event featured an inspiring address by Rosie Batty, encouraging individuals and organisations to speak up and take action to create meaningful change.

Highlighting the belief that “when we give - our time, knowledge, advocacy and support - we multiply opportunities for women to thrive”, the event strongly resonated with The Queen’s Fund and its mission to support women experiencing crisis and hardship. Through storytelling, dialogue and reflection, the event emphasised that when individuals and organisations give - whether through resources, voice, time or compassion - the collective gain can be profound.

The Queen’s Fund was honoured to be the beneficiary of the event’s fundraising efforts, with more than $10,000 raised to support women and children across Victoria.
