We're excited to announce we will be lifting the maximum amount granted to women in need to $500. Food voucher grants will also be increased to a new maximum amount of $300 (previously $200).
This is a $100 increase from the previous amount of $400 that a woman could apply for within a 12 month period. The changes came into effect immediately and therefore, all new
applications can request the new maximum amounts. We will also use our discretion to
increase the amount granted to a woman for any applications that have already been
submitted in the current application period, so there is no need to go into the portal to
request the increased amount.
Here's a refresher on how to fill out our application form. Take a look at an example of how to complete Q9 onwards, which can also be found on our website under 'How to Apply'.
Our rules apply. Applications that do not contain enough information for us to assess them without need to ask for further details from the referring agency may be cancelled.
We at The Queen's Fund acknowledge the tough times the women and children we strive to help are facing, with the surging cost of groceries, basic necessities, rent and utilities. We hope that lifting the grant amounts will help lighten the load.
